The Internet is much larger than it was ten years ago. It is not as simple to make money on the Internet as is was. I hope you will learn the lesson I am about to reveal to you. I began working on the Internet over 9 years ago. I saw all the ads about how I could be making thousands of dollars in a very short time. I fell right in, hook, line, and sinker. Who wouldn't want the things those ads were promising. I thought I could just set my business up, go on vacation and my business would just run itself, I really believed that. Well it didn't work out that way.

I jumped from one program to another program, because I really believed one of these programs was going to make me a fortune. There would be thousands of people in these programs selling the same program all of using the same website. Very few of those people made any money. There were people making money back then, but they didn't have the same websites we had. They had their own domain and hosting, and they had very little competition, because 95% of the marketers were running around jumping from one program to the next, all of us promoting the same program.

My big mistake back then was I didn't think you had to spend any money on the Internet to make money, except for the small monthly cost of joining a program. The truth was you didn't have to spend a lot of money, but if you were willing to spend a couple of hundred dollars and able to do a little work you could have made a fortune. Really all you needed to do was buy a good book, spend a little money for a domain and hosting, and you would have separated yourself from 95% of the marketers at the time. Things have changed now, it is not enough to have your own domain and hosting and a little knowledge.

Most marketers found out too late that you need your own domain and hosting, most have them now, but it's not nearly enough today, the competition is far too great. We have the exact same thing going on today as we had 10 years ago, new people coming on the Internet doing exactly what they see other marketers doing. Sure, they learn early to buy a domain and hosting, but those days are over. Following what 95% of marketers are doing can not make you any money on the Internet. The reason is they are all doing the same thing and there just isn't any room in that crowd to make any money. You want to join the 5% that have separated themselves from the crowd.

To separate yourself from the crowd you are going to need a mentor, in the past it was enough to buy a good ebook, but the competition is too great today. You may think what would a mentor know that the 95% don't know. The answer is not much, that's right they don't know much more than they do, but what they do know will take another short story. If everyone selling dog food knew that a certain person on the Internet would buy a large amount of dog food every week, they would be lined up each week to sell this man some dog food. Since there were so many selling dog food to this man, nobody was making a lot of money. A couple of people started to wonder why this man was buying so much dog food. They found out this man also was buying 20 dogs a week so these few men started selling dogs to the man, and since there were only a couple of guys selling dogs to him they made a lot of money. They only knew one thing more than the others, but that one thing was the difference between making a lot of money and a little money. Do you think they went out and told the other 95%.

If you are going to get the kind of information you need today you are going to have to pay for it. You probably can't find it in some low costing ebook. The way you find very important information is through a mentor. There are different levels of mentoring, you can get to a certain level with one mentor, but you need a different mentor to get to the next level. the higher the level the higher the price of the mentor. You always need to start at the lower level, it gets more complicated the higher the level. Even a mentor can have a mentor, because he may be looking to go to the next level. How long will mentoring continue before the Internet makes a major change, I'm not sure , but right now the correct way to make more money on the Internet is having a good mentor. Every minute you have a mentor the closer you are to making money on the Internet.

Ok, you know what you have to do, the only thing you need to do is your homework to make sure you choose the right mentor. There are some mentors that are just after your money. They really can't take you to the next level. They can get you started in the right direction, but that's all. Many people need a mentor for the basics, but if you know the basics you will be looking for a mentor that knows something most people don't know. If you are close to make a living on the Internet you need a mentor that will launch you to the next level. Make sure you ask questions of others that have used a mentor. Read some of his or her articles. Don't just take a mentors word what he can do for you, Only you know what level you need to be at, so take your time and choose your mentor carefully.
